(NCAAFB) Cuse Nation’s QB A.J. Long was medically disqualified due to “multiple concussions that he suffered while at Syracuse University.
Long started in five games as a freshman for Syracuse last season, he hasn’t been on the field for the Orange this season. But sadly he’ll never see the field for the Orange again.
The team’s physician Dr. James Tucker disqualified Long “from further participation in football and any other contact sport at Syracuse.”
there has never been a report of Long suffering a concussion at Syracuse. Last season, A.J. Long threw for 935 yards and four touchdowns and eight interceptions on 89-of-165 passing. He also ran for a pair of scores.
Syracuse.com reported that Long is the fourth Orange football player medically disqualified by the school due to concussions in the past two calendar years, joining defensive linemen Tyler Marona and Isaiah Johnson, and offensive tackle Kyle Knapp.
