San Diego Padres Draft Johnny Manziel In 28th Round

(Fantasy Talk) The Padres drafted Johnny Baseball in the 28th round. Relax Cleveland Browns fans, Johnny Football will still be your franchise quarterback.

The San Diego Padres decided to draft Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel with the 837th pick of the 2014 MLB Draft. Manziel, who played baseball in high school and has thrown out the a few first pitches at MLB games, is listed as a shortstop.

Manziel visited the Padres to throw out a first pitch in May, and took batting practice with the team.

Manziel isn’t the first quarterback to be selected in the MLB draft. Russell Wilson was drafted twice, in 2007 and 2010, by the Orioles and Rockies.
