(In Other Sports) The fighter formerly nicknamed “Takedown” did just that against Holm when Miesha Tate went for blood in the fifth round and hit Holly Holm with a rear-naked choke to become the new UFC women’s bantamweight champion in the UFC 196 co-main event.
The reign of “The Preacher’s Daughter” came to an end at the hands of Tate, who has been chasing UFC gold for years.
Tate established that her wrestling was a major problem for Holm’s corner.
